If so, we would like to hear from you!

Shropshire Wildlife Trust has grown significantly in recent years and we have increased our operational support so that delivery teams and other support staff can focus on carrying out the objectives of the charity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the Trust in the key role of Buildings & Facilities Manager. The successful candidate will lead the management of our premises, facilities, ICT and Health & Safety

Experience in a similar job would be ideal, but if you can demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary skills in a different role or sector and can apply them at SWT, we would welcome your application.

We are seeking an individual with the ability to form strong working relationships with a range of specialist teams.

Ideally you will have experience of buildings & facilities management along with negotiating and managing contracts. With a good, confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Office 365 you ll be able to also oversee the IT function. ICT is a key part of this job, but you do not need to be an IT specialist. The Trust already uses Office 365 and Teams; and has support from an external contractor.

The Trust is committed to building an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce we encourage applications from a diverse range of suitably qualified candidates.

No enquiries from agencies or for further advertising will be taken.

Our office will be closed during the Christmas period and will plan to contact candidates in the new year once the role has expired.

About us:

Shropshire Wildlife Trust (SWT) has a vision of a thriving natural world, where Shropshire’s wildlife and natural habitats play a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and people are inspired and empowered to take action for nature. We combine projects across Shropshire (including Telford & Wrekin) with advocacy and campaigning to restore nature and to engage people. We manage over 40 nature reserves and have almost 50 staff, 300 volunteers, and over 9000 members. SWT is an autonomous charity, but we are increasingly working collectively, as part of The Wildlife Trusts (TWT), to ensure that our local actions have a national impact and help to address global issues.
