Account Manager

Headquartered in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, 001 Ltd is a full-service utilities management consultancy. We specialise in achieving significant savings in electricity, gas, water and telecoms supplies for corporate clients and investigate and recover historical overcharging.

Job Description

At 001 Ltd, Account Managers are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the delivery of products and services. They will act as the liaison between clients and internal teams, addressing concerns, managing projects, and maximising customer satisfaction. Strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate are essential for success in this role. Additionally, Account Managers will be involved in upselling and cross-selling to grow the business.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to support the growth of our company and offer excellent services to our clients. The successful candidate will receive full training, mentoring and support to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients to ensure top levels of customer service
• Understand the clients’ energy needs and preferences
• Act as a liaison between clients and suppliers
• Provide timely and accurate information to clients regarding energy market trends, pricing and available products
• Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with clients on a regular basis to ensure they feel valued and opportunities for additional work are identified
• Hold regular meetings with Brokers to ensure work is being prioritised correctly and deadlines are implemented and adhered to
• Analyse energy usage data and develop tailored solutions to optimise clients’ energy costs and efficiency
• Coordinate with energy suppliers to negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms for clients
• Monitor and track energy market changes, regulatory updates, and industry trends to keep clients informed
• Prepare and present reports on clients’ energy consumption, cost savings, and market insights
• Resolve client enquiries, concerns, and issues promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of energy procurement strategies
• Stay informed about advancements in energy technology and sustainability to provide relevant advice to clients
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and other relevant information
• Update internal systems
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Head Office staff to encourage good teamwork within 001 Ltd
• Provide updates for the Senior Management Team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in account management or a similar role, preferably within the energy sector
• Strong understanding of energy markets, regulations, and industry dynamics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations
• Negotiation skills to secure favourable terms in energy contracts
• Detail-orientated and organised, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant CRM software
• Knowledge of sustainability and environmental considerations in energy management is a plus
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
• A positive and professional approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Works well under pressure
• Excellent both written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to business planning.

Working Pattern

40 hours per week: Monday – Friday based at our St. Albans office.

• Basic Salary £28,000 – £30,000 pa depending on experience with OTE of up to c.£60,000 pa
