Quantity Surveyor needed for a 6-month freelance contract in Malvern working on the M5 J8

Your new company
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a 6-month freelance contract, starting as soon as possible. You will be working on the M5 J8 project, which involves the construction of a new junction and widening of the existing motorway.Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:- Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts- Measuring and valuing work done on site- Negotiating and agreeing contracts, variations, and claims with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers- Liaising with project managers, engineers, and site staff- Producing monthly reports and final accountsWhat you’ll need to succeed
– A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline- At least 5 years of experience in roads and highways projects- Knowledge of NEC3 and JCT contracts- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and relevant software- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills- A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licenseDesirable skills and experience:- Experience in earthworks and geotechnical projects.What you’ll get in return
