Overview
It is a very exciting time to join Villiers High School, and an opportunity to join our professional services team as Attendance Manager, as we embark on the building of our new sustainable eco building which houses enhanced and progressively designed teaching and learning spaces. Inspired by its natural surroundings, it offers views of the leafy, tranquil environment in which the school is situated adjacent to Southall Park. The £25 million investment embodies the key sustainability principles of natural lighting and materials, solar and air sourced energy systems and outdoor learning spaces, which aim to enhance wellbeing and biodiversity for the entire community. The Eco building is one of the primary objectives of our school development plan and gives physical form to our ambitions of building a more sustainable and inclusive society.
About Us
Villiers is a highly successful 11-19 co-educational school; our pupils come from diverse backgrounds, and they work, play and flourish together developing respect and understanding of a variety of cultures. We have grown considerably in size and popularity in recent years; a reflection of our high standards and fantastic achievements. Our pupils leave with qualifications that will set them up for the world of work and further education. Our 150 teaching and support staff do an excellent job of educating nearly 1500 pupils each year and although this makes us larger than the England average, we are smaller than many local High schools. This makes us the right size to offer a full range of academic and vocational subjects taught by specialist teachers whilst retaining a small ‘family’ style supportive environment in which we get to know every child. We are rightly proud of our personalised approach to pupils’ learning needs. It is a regular event that 100% of our Sixth Form students achieve a place on a course at a university of their choice. We are particularly proud of our enrichment programme; we have expanded the range and diversity of our clubs and trips over recent years and are delighted to be able to give our pupils once in a lifetime opportunities to travel and learn.
We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and develop a love of learning. Our Motto ” For life, not school, we learn” explains that we want pupils to be excellent learners and active citizens who will make valuable contributions to their families and their community in the future.
We expect to see our school values of ‘Honesty, Equity, Aspiration, Respect and Tenacity’ in action in our pupils’ and staff’s daily lives therefore our policies, procedures and approaches in the classroom are honed to develop these daily.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced IT Manager who can review and develop a robust IT strategy for us, using their broad knowledge of the technology options available. Alongside this you will also manage a small onsite IT team to ensure the IT service provided remains of the highest quality.
