As the Compliance Manager, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that all our activities align with legal requirements and industry standards. Reporting directly to the Operations Director and supported by our esteemed group legal department, you’ll spearhead the management of legal documents, implement robust governance frameworks, and oversee risk management practices.

Job Purpose:

The compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring day-to-day regulatory compliance across all company activities.

Reporting to the Operations Director, and with the guidance and support from our group legal department, the manager will control all legal documents (contracts, terms and conditions, point of sale marketing materials, customer communications), implement and maintain the governance and compliance framework, manage legal relationships, oversee compliance, focusing on risk management.

Job Summary:

• Oversee and sign off the process of compiling contractual documents and terms relating to our maintenance products.
• Own and control all legal documents and materials.
• Maintain the risk management and governance framework.
• Review and align key risk Indicators with the company’s risk appetite.
• Develop and update compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Manage relationships with external and group legal advisors.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory requirements and developments.
• Occasionally support high level complaint responses.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate their impact to management.
• Ensure all products continue to offer good value.
• Oversee compliance with government requirements, especially related to the management of maintenance contracts, ensuring they do not behave as insurance policies.
• Advise on Privacy and Data Protection Risks, considering ICO/GDPR requirements.
• Oversee breaches of compliance limits, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation.

What you’ll need: (Bullets- experience and mindset etc)

• Over 3 years of regulatory compliance management experience.
• Experience of drafting or assisting in the drafting of documentation such as client contracts, consumer terms and conditions, consumer communications, marketing material etc preferred.
• Knowledge of governance/compliance frameworks and risk management.
• Familiarity with FCA and ICO regulations.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and reliable
• Have a growth mindset and embrace change.
• The ability to work well & remain calm with a professional approach under pressure, producing a high standard of work.
• Confident on approach
• Ability to self-motivate.
• Excellent PC skills & experience in MS Office
