Construction Director required by national D&B HV Electrical Contractor for their Scottish Business.

This is a newly created role where the successful individual will be responsible for growing and developing the companies presence in Scotland. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new DNO connections , managing substantial financial deliveries, driving operational excellence and growth.

The vision is to grow the business to 10m per annum over the next two years and 35m within the next five years.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in construction management, particularly in the electrical or power sector, although applications from candidates with experience in Utilities, water or rail will also be relevant. A proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior management and other stakeholders.
• Experience with bid processes and project approvals is highly desirable

This Role would ideally suit someone already working in a similar role who is looking for more autonomy and is excited by the opportunity to develop, grow and build a business in the Scottish market or a construction/contracts manager looking for that next stage in their career.

Basic salary 80k to 120k DOE

Location is flexible as the company has an office in Stirling with group companies having offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen so applications will be considered from across Scotland
