Location: North West London with travel

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Director who will be instrumental in expanding and growing their well-established privately owned property maintenance business. They have developed a strong reputation for delivering excellent service and fostering a team culture that is supportive, inspiring, and fun.

The successful candidate will be highly networked within the property maintenance sector and have current contacts ranging from framework and procurement managers for large organisations, through to surveyors working for private consultancy practices. The ability to demonstrate forward thinking and initiative is imperative for this position, as well as being proactive, having exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build long-lasting professional relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients
• Increasing the profitability of the Company through new business generation and client retention
• Representing the business effectively at major industry events, conferences, trade shows and exhibitions
• Developing strong internal relationships with the QS and Bid Team to ensure a seamless business development process

Key requirements will include:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role with expert knowledge of the property maintenance sector along with an excellent personal reputation and a solid current network
• Proven track record of delivering consistent revenue growth, securing new contracts, and expanding market share
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels, including senior management/decision-makers and executives
• Collaborative in style, a true team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
