SPR are excited to be working with a new client to recruit for a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role, based in Wolverhampton. Due to the site location, access to your own transport is essential.Our client is uniquely positioned within the sweeper and tanker industry, offering road construction and resurfacing nationwide.The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the road sweeper business in the market.Working Instructions of the Business Development Manager:

• Full Time
• Permanent
• Based in Wolverhampton
• Salaried between £40,000 and £45,000

Desirable Qualities of the Transport Planner:

• Experience in networking, budget management, sales and lead generation, and strategy planning
• Must have product knowledge and the ability to negotiate and close contracts

Key Duties of the Business Development Manager:

• Conducting thorough market research to identify potential customers and key competitors in the road sweeper industry.
• Analysing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans to expand the business and increase market share.
• Setting clear objectives and goals for the road sweeper business and creating a plan to achieve those goals.
• Generating leads and identifying new business opportunities.
• Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the sales team to achieve sales targets.
• Staying updated on the latest developments in road sweeper technology and understanding the features and benefits of the company’s products.
• Effectively communicating product information to potential clients.
• Creating persuasive and competitive proposals in response to requests for proposals and tenders.
• Collaborating with the technical team to ensure that proposals meet client specifications.
• Negotiating terms and conditions with clients to secure contracts.
• Ensuring that contracts are favourable to the company while meeting the needs of the client.
• Managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
• Resolving any issues or concerns raised by clients in a timely and effective manner.
• Attending industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and partners.
• Building a strong professional network within the road sweeper industry.
• Developing and managing the business development budget effectively.
• Ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve the desired outcomes.
• Providing regular reports on business development activities, progress against targets, and market trends.
• Conducting analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Working closely with the marketing, operations, and finance departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to business development
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
