Business Development Manager – On Trade

Field Based Hampshire

Up to £45,000 base salary + car allowance + bonus

Are you passionate about the wine industry and looking to drive sales growth within the on-trade sector? I am seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager in the Hampshire area.This role will focus on building and nurturing relationships with key on-trade customers, such as bars, restaurants, hotels, and catering establishments, while driving sales growth in the designated territory

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans aimed at increasing sales within the on-trade sector.
• Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored promotional strategies and campaigns.
• Conduct product presentations, tastings, and training sessions to increase product knowledge and brand awareness.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, balancing client needs with company profitability.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.

About You:

• Proven success in business development or sales roles within the wine industry, with a focus on the on-trade market.
• In-depth knowledge of on-trade market dynamics, customer preferences, and purchasing behavior.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to exceed sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) for sales tracking and reporting.
• A valid driver s license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
