Overview

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems, with a focus on new business sales. This role will involve promoting and selling CCTV, access control, intruder, and life safety systems, with a balance of 80% maintenance contracts and 20% projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the fire and security sector
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
• Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and solutions to clients
• Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development within the fire and security industry
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder, and life safety systems
• Demonstrated success in new business sales and account management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards is a plus

Day-to-day

• Researching and identifying potential clients and opportunities
• Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
• Conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations
• Collaborating with the technical team to design and propose solutions
• Developing tailored proposals and quotations
• Tracking sales activities and maintaining accurate records
• Attending industry events and networking opportunities
