At Kimpton Fitzroy London we are looking for a Switchboard Operator to join our team in Central London

As our Switchboard Operator you will be responsible for fielding all hotel calls, directing them appropriately, communicating critical information to guests and staff as needed. Providing a welcoming and accommodation service to all our guests. You will need experience in handling a hotel switchboard and dealing with all internal and external calls in a professional and efficient manner.
Attention to detail is vital as you will answer, record, and process all guests’ requests, questions or concerns via telephone, email, or chat. You will be required to record all Housekeeping and Engineering service work requests therefore knowledge of Knowcross would be an advantage. You will ensure efficient communication with guests, from information regarding the property, amenities, room features and local areas of interest to processing guests’ requests for wake-up calls.

To succeed as a Switchboard Operator, you will need:
To be passionate about delivering great service, be guest focused and have exceptional attention to detail and convey the appropriate tone and warmth in all communications
Great communication skills with excellent English, additional languages desirable
Experience of working in a five-star environment or previous experience in a similar role
Experience with handling guests queries and concerns
Knowledge of using Opera, Knowcross, Kipsu and LQA standards desirable
Flexible attitude to shifts – you may be required to work nights, weekends andor holidays.
To be a team player and able to work effectively under pressure with excellent organizational skills
