Role: Category Manager for ICT and Professional Services

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: c 45k per annum

Role location: Surrey/South London and Hybrid

Cedar Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading, charitable research organisation to help source an enthusiastic and driven Category Manager, whom is keen to work for a company that really care about making a difference.

The role will include end to end Category Management, working across a wide range of exciting procurement activity within ICT and professional services; this may also include specialist lab equipment to laptops, stationery, support from design agencies and travel.

This position will also involve the following

• Providing commercial advise and helping to improve the procurement strategy by working closely with the stakeholders
• Working towards the organisations goals and objectives
• Promoting best value for money and implementing savings where possible
• Working on Social Value, looking at the science based target and helping the organisation move towards Net Zero
• Offering support and training to staff within the organisation.
• Negotiating on existing contracts
• Undertaking spend analysis and providing reports based on the outcome

For the role you must have strong experience within end to end Category Management, across a variety of categories and have a keen interest in working within a charitable organisation.

You will also need to articulate well and be able to show passion and excitement when it comes to working for the organisation.

CIPS is not essential but is desirable for this position.
