Description

As Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for managing a c. 40m+ spend across a variety of ingredients categories. alongside leading a team of 2.

• Create, input and recommend a Commodity Risk Management (CRM) plan for your categories
• PPV ownership
• Managing suppliers and ensure 100% OTIF using appropriate tools within the business
• Reviewing and drafting supplier contracts to provide beneficial terms which benefit the business
• Drafting and executing RFI’S and RFQ’s, finalising recommendation for sign offs before implementation
• Source new suppliers, de-list non performing suppliers and provide a clear plan for your suppliers using the vendor management process
• input into annual budget process and identifying risk & opportunities. Take action to minimise risk and optimise opportunities
• Leadership and development of 2 direct reports

Profile

• FMCG manufacturing experience – preferably food
• Global sourcing experience Inc. commodity driven markets
• Proven leadership and talent development
• The ability to challenge suppliers, constructively to ensure cost savings whilst building long term relationships
• Strong ER/MRP experience Inc. Excel
• A confident communicator, with the ablity to hit the ground running
