Contracts Manager required for our client in Yeovil. We are seeking a full time, onsite based Contracts Manager to work onsite, managing the Plant Maintenance department.Working hours are Monday – Friday , 37.5 hours per week.Salary is £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus 4% pension, and life assurance with four times basic salary. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.The Role- Managing the Plant Maintenance department to ensure the maximum availability of machines, processes, plant and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner- Ensure that all subcontractors that attend site have appropriate security clearance prior to commencement of any works / visits- Be fully responsible for the welfare and safety of all subcontractors & employees onsite- Generate Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments for all work being carried out. Ensure all HSQE processes are followed for duration of works on site- Provide procurement support, provide cost reductions and savings where possible- Review and sign off contracts for the maintenance and servicing of UK plant and equipment- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, OEMs, technical specialists, suppliers and distributors, assisting with any problem solving- Ensure that all work schedules and resource plans are reviewed regularly- Review developments in new technologies and identify how they might be applied to gain commercial advantageThe Ideal Person- Previous experience in a similar level role- Planned and preventative maintenance experience- Lean six sigma- IOSH Managing Safely qualification- People Management training / experience- Competent Microsoft Office skills, in particular, Excel- Experience analysing and manipulating data- Experience managing and communicating budget status to stakeholders, and presenting to stakeholdersDoes this role sound like the right fit for you?
