Your new companyA well established roofing subcontractor specialising in the-volume residential market is now seeking an experienced CM to oversee their Kent business. Boasting long-standing relationships with multiple national housebuilders, a strong order book, extremely stable staffing levels and very healthy financials, they offer a rare opportunity to join a well-run business in a key role. Working across multiple projects, packages are typically for traditional supply and fix contracts across multiple phases. This is a newly created role to strengthen the existing contracts’ management team with a focus on adding local expertise in the Kent area.Your new roleAs Contracts manager you will manage all contracts in the Kent area, reporting to the Operations Director. You will be involved in the full life cycle of projects from estimating and design input through to mobilising sites, project delivery, handover and aftercare. With support from the commercial and design teams, you will be responsible for the profitable running of the area and have autonomy to develop your own teams/gangs as well as client relationships. The role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and will be focussed on good customer service, quality of work, development of your team and ultimately, growth in the region.What you’ll need to succeedDue to the nature of the role, you will need a strong background in the roofing sector and have worked in a contracts manager or higher role previously. You will be comfortable working on prices/estimates for larger packages and ideally have existing relationships with kent based labour pools.
