Situation:

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are partnered with a nationwide construction contractor on their search for an additional Facades Design Manager to join their team. Due to the bespoke and niche nature of their product, our client is winning new contracts and requires additional heads to ensure all projects are completed on-budget to facilitate further growth and expansion.

The successful candidate will be managing the design process internally from conception, design monitoring, internal meetings & external meetings. This means, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent the company when meeting clients, on site, as well as having autonomy of the design programming.

Key responsibilities & requirements:

• Have knowledge and experience of façade design management.
• Work closely with clients and lead the design process with clients and site teams.
• Produce design programmes and monitor these.
• Have knowledge and experience of CAD design which may be utilised.
• Knowledge in both 2D and 3D modelling would be advantageous.
• Have good communication skills and professionalism.
• Be able to work as part of a team and individually.
• Have a valid driving license and be willing to travel to sites occasionally.

Location: Derby, Derbyshire.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (Dependent on experience)

Working Practice: 5 days in the office (some rare travel to sites maybe required)

Key Essential Criteria

• 5+ years of design management experience.
• Facades experience
• Able to commute to Derby HQ 5 days per week
• CAD Tech Experience with knowledge of 2D and 3D drawings
• Client facing experience
