My client is one of the UK’s leading demolition and decommissioning companies. They have an incredibly well received reputation when it comes to quality, health, safety and environmental awareness

Due to growth an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the company on a permanent basis, this will be a rewarding role and will offer a clear progression route for an ambitious Document Controller.

The Role:

• Controlling project documentation
• Following and improving document control procedures
• Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards
• Sorting, storing and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of clients and industry professionals
• Producing document progress reports for senior managers
• Conducting regular reviews and document audits
• Helping in the planning stages of a specific project
• Ensuring documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion
• Keep track of important project documents including project plans, drawings and contracts
• Performing data entry tasks when project documents need updating
• Printing and distributing project documents to directors and the team
• Converting paper documents to an electronic format as and when required
• Keeping files organised by project
• Managing requests for documentation

Requirements For This Role:

• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in document control – two years or more in the construction industry would be an advantage
• Hold an NVQ or a CPD credited document control training qualification would be an advantage
• Have knowledge of ASITE, BIW, 4Projects or any other similar document control system would be an advantage
• Be able to work with the directors to assist in the set up of internal systems and ensure all parties provide information to meet deadlines
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Be an assertive and effective communicator
• Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Have good organisation skills
• Be a positive team member
