Job Description

The Energy Brokers at 001 Ltd are responsible for connecting energy suppliers with consumers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal energy solutions. They analyse market trends, assess clients’ energy needs, and negotiate favourable terms. Energy Brokers also stay informed about industry regulations and provide clients with cost-effective strategies to improve energy efficiency. Additionally, they may handle documentation, monitor energy usage, and maintain relationships with both suppliers and clients.

We are currently recruiting for an Energy Broker to support growth of our company and offer excellent services to our clients. The successful candidate will receive full training, mentoring and support to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigating, collating and analysing data to prepare tender submissions
• Tendering for pricing for utility contracts for each client to ensure the nest value offering
• Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best rates for each contract based on client data
• Providing accurate and timely information to the account management team to enable them to present offerings to clients
• Supporting Account Managers to secure the best deals for our clients.

Person Specification

• Experienced Broker
• Energy knowledge desirable but not essential
• Independent worker, self-starter and problem solver
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Great communicator and team player
• Transaction services experience
• Highly organised
• A positive and professional approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Works well under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to business planning.

Working Pattern

40 hours per week: Monday – Friday based at our St. Albans office.
