Job Title: Procurement Category Manager – Estates

Location: Birmingham area

Salary: £34,866 – £45,163 + 5k Market supplement

Hybrid: 3 days on site + adhoc stakeholder meetings

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and develop strategies for an extensive program of works and renewal/re-procurement of existing FM and supplies contracts.
• Manage a defined portfolio of spend, develop and undertake category strategies to deliver best value and continuous improvement solutions.
• Understand market dynamics and cost drivers and have experience undertaking a range of sourcing activities including RFQs, formal tenders, and sourcing competitions.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure full benefits realisation and robust supplier management.
• Communicate effectively, plan, and organise, and foster effective and collaborative relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
• Contribute to the delivery of an efficient, responsive, and value-generating Procurement service.
• Work effectively within a framework of robust procurement, regulatory, and audit procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a defined portfolio of spend, developing and undertaking category strategies to deliver best value and continuous improvement solutions.
• Understanding of market dynamics and cost drivers and experience undertaking a range of sourcing activities including RFQs, formal tenders, and sourcing competitions.
• Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Proven track record of contributing to the delivery of an efficient, responsive, and value-generating Procurement service.
• Ability to work effectively within a framework of robust procurement, regulatory, and audit procedures.
