HR Assistant – Tier 1 Main Contractor

My client is a main contractor, based in Birmingham. Due to ongoing long-term projects and the expansions of new projects they currently looking for a HR Assistant to join their team.

This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations and it would require 1-2 years’ experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Handling HR admin across the full employee lifecycle – from issuing contracts and onboarding new starters to processing leavers
• Keeping employee records up to date and ensuring data is managed in line with Data protection laws
• Supporting recruitment activity, including arranging interviews and liaising with hiring managers
• Assisting HR Advisors and Managers with employee queries and casework
• Helping to ensure the business remains compliant with internal policies and employment legislation
