Job Title: HR Officer

Salary: 35,000 – 40,000

Location: East Dulwich

Hours: 35 hours per week (9:00am-5:00pm)

• Lead on the recruitment process, including providing recruitment managers with advice about job descriptions, person specifications, advertising, shortlisting and selection methods.
• Lead on the onboarding process, including issuing of contracts, DBS clearance and other pre-employment checks in accordance with school processes and safeguarding requirements for new staff including employees, volunteers, third party contractors and agency workers.
• Ensure the appropriate authorisation is obtained for vacancies offers and changes where needed.
• Create, maintain and audit employee records ensuring these are complete and compliant.
• Work with the Head of HR and colleagues to develop and maintain monitoring systems to ensure all relevant HR information is collected, maintained and actioned.
• Undertake general administration as and when needed, including providing support to the Head of HR and other members of the team.
• Administer and provide advice to managers and employees about all types of leave.
• Assist with the creation, maintenance and revision of HR documentation including staff handbooks, templates and processes.

Is this you?

• CIPD HR qualification at Level 5 or above or equivalent experience.
• Experience in working in a busy HR, recruitment or administrative role.
• Knowledge and understanding in Employment Law
• Experience within Employee relations
• Experience of working in education or other regulated environment
• Excellent digital literacy, including good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Resilient, optimistic and willing to go the extra mile in the busy life of the school.
