If the answer is yes this could be a great opportunity for you. Reed are pleased to be exclusively working with a well-established Education provider in Lurgan who do to promotion are seeking a HR Officer initially for 6 months with strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Supporting and working closely with the HR Director you will ensure the smooth administration and delivery of the HR function to the wider organisation.

About the Role

• Lead and manage the recruitment process for new staff end-to-end, this includes creating job advertisements and other recruitment literature, managing job adverts, processing job applications in accordance with an appropriate shortlisting system, and contacting interviewees.
• Support the recruitment selection process by coordinating interview tasks, ensuring all documentation is available for the interview panel.
• Administering pre-employment checks on all successful candidates including Access NI, Right to Work checks, employment and qualification references.
• Produce conditional offer letters, and when all pre-entry checks have been completed and are acceptable to the College, issue contracts of employment in advance of start date.
• Provide professional advice and support to line managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
• Monitor and record the probationary process including providing support to line managers in probationary meetings when required.
• Support and professionally advise on the application of and appropriateness of HR policies and procedures including disciplinary and grievance processes. This includes seeking external advice (if required) and acting as a note taker in meetings.
• Prepare required documentation and correspondence for any probation, disciplinary, grievance or other meetings as required.
• Produce reports and management information for line managers, the Principal and the Board of Governors when required on key HR data.
• Ensure policies are regularly reviewed and updated.

About You

Essential

• 5 GCSEs including English & Maths
• 1 Year+ experience as a HR Admin or HR Officer or an Administration role with HR exposure
• Good IT skills and use of HR systems

Desirable

• CIPD Level 5
