Jackson Hogg are supporting a marine/gas safety equipment manufacturer in the recruitment of a Key Account manager within their Defence Sector. As a Key Account Manager, you’ll be instrumental in cultivating relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring maximum profitability in line with business strategy. There is plenty of opportunity for international travel with this role, as you will be attending events with key decision makers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and profitability by effectively managing Defence Key Accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and streamline sales processes.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast future sales.
• Network within Key Accounts to seize business opportunities and elevate the brand.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and timely order fulfilment.
• Utilise Salesforce CRM to track leads and opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on Key Account reviews and new business pitches.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution for customer queries.
• Support Contract Manager with tender proposals.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing effectively.
• Liaise with stakeholders for forecasting and planning.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Participate in relevant trade shows and conferences.

Key Competencies:

• Flexibility, initiative, and persuasive communication.
• Strong writing and grammar skills.
• Proven track record of establishing or building relationships in new regions or geographies.
• Ability to influence Company Directors or Senior Management.
• Experience in negotiating and closing deals.
• At least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management.
• Ability to sell a solution and not just a product.
• Proven track record in achieving 1m of sales targets
