A DAY IN THE LIFE OF MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL

• Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
• Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and exterior of the building
• Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor
• Comply with all safety and health regulations
• Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Solid experience in a maintenance or engineering management role, ideally within hospitality or a similar settingExpertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem-solvingStrong leadership skills, with a track record of building motivated, efficient teams that deliver quality resultsFinancial acumen to manage budgets and negotiate contracts without compromising on quality or guest satisfactionOrganisational and multitasking abilities to juggle a range of responsibilities and respond quickly to urgent issuesFlexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call dutiesA passion for maintaining a safe, well-functioning environment that enhances the guest experience
