Salary: £14,568 £15,425 per annum

Hours of work: 24 hours

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Officer to join our Estates team where you will support the Maintenance Manager in the maintaining and improving the property controlled by the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group

As a Maintenance Officer your duties will include:

• Liaise and support the Maintenance Manager to monitor helpdesk tickets, logging of contractor quotes and purchase order requirements.
• Preparing detailed specifications and obtaining estimates for minor works up to specified levels of expenditure.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Supervising/managing works/contracts instructed, ensuring they are completed on time and within budgets and checking invoices submitted.
• Providing technical advice and support on routine maintenance issues
• Undertake monitoring of contractor compliance to Heart of Yorkshires Education Groups Control of Contractors Policy
• Support Maintenance Manager in planning/ scheduling planned and cyclical maintenance
• The role of Maintenance Officer within College is varied, and every day is different, with new challenges. You will be an active member of the Estates team, ranging from providing technical advice and support on routine maintenance issues whilst visiting sites to preparing detailed specifications/ obtaining estimates for minor works.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance professional, who is enthusiastic and passionate about property maintenance and in turn an excellent communicator who can provide the skills and knowledge to support the maintenance function.
