Mechanical and Electrical Site Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E Site Supervisor to join one of our projects in Maidstone, Kent, consisting of 7 new build warehouse units, for a period of 7 months from March to August 2024. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supervising the installation of mechanical and electrical services, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Induction and supervision of various sub-contractors ensuring risk assessments and method statements are complied with and updated as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
• Undertake and record safety checks of equipment.
• Conduct daily Toolbox Talks to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
• Ensure works are proceeding to the contract programme and have the ability to re-schedule works if necessary to ensure works are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure works are in accordance with the contract drawings and specification.
• Carry out and record quality checks on installations.
• Report on progress to the M&E Contracts Managers.
• Liaison with main contractor on a daily basis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrable knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems.
• SMSTS / SSSTS qualification
• CSCS Gold card or higher
• Strong communication skills with good interpersonal abilities.
• Background history working on commercial projects
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel)
