Operations Director – London – £65-70k

We are delighted to present this opportunity to lead the London operations of an established professional commercial cleaning business.

You will take direct responsibility for key client relationships and manage Client contracts through four Account Managers covering the central London area. You will be responsible for all budgets, promoting new initiatives that the Company introduces, problem solving, training and development of all staff.

Working with the Chief Operations Officer, you will seek to continuously improve the service offering to best in class through the use of software, systems, processes and collaborative meetings to provide the best tools and skillsets for the team to excel.

Key elements of this role:

• Overall responsibility for daily operation of all contracts
• Health & safety
• Controlling Budgets payroll, cleaning materials and equipment
• Management accounts Minimising terminations Maximising contribution
• Additional Sales i.e., add contract work and additional building services,
• Organic growth Soft services, such as Carpet cleaning, washroom services, waste & other Hard services such as M&E
• People Management skills to deal with Clients & staff, dealing with help desk cases.
• Training & Developing of the team.
• Staff recruitment and management
• Client Audits/ Site inspections with & without Managers
• Contract reviews prior to contract anniversaries each year

What we are looking for:

Experience in a similar role within the cleaning industry, managing Account Managers
Experience with a client turnover of £4million plus
Knowledge of payroll software, ideally Cleanlink payroll
Microsoft 365 knowledge
Knowledge of Grievance & Disciplinary Procedures, Health & safety, TUPE & basic Employment Law
Experience of recruiting and managing local staff
