Job Title Packing Operative

Responsible to Production Manager

Purpose of the role – Our client in St Helens is currently recruiting for Packing Operatives to join their established team on temporary to permeant contracts.

Client brief – Our client is a large well renowned family-owned business in Manufacturing products based in St Helens and supply the retail trade and builders merchants across the UK.

Contract Temp to perm
Hourly Rate – £10.92ph which is inclusive of 50p per hour attendance bonus paid for all operatives who work their scheduled hours Monday to Friday

Shifts Monday to Friday days only, 8am-5.30pm (30 minutes deducted for lunch per day)
Holidays Holiday accrual whilst temp, 28 days inc bank holidays when perm
Facilities Fantastic facilities on site, very clean and tidy office environment, kitchen/canteen, vending machines, free parking

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role – The responsibilities of these positions are varied but not limited to

• Packing and banding manufactured products in a professional and timely manner
• Ensuring products are packed, wrapped, banded and labeled to the client specification
• Quality Checking/Spot Checking products to ensure they meet site and client quality standards
• Reporting quality issues
• Ensuring the packing and production areas are kept safe and clear at all times

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• Previous packing experience is essential
• Ability to work at a suitable rate and to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to follow instructions and read and write in English is essential
• Desire to progress and learn new skills
