Job Opportunity: Procurement Manager

Location: Hybrid – Leicestershire (3/2 split)

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 plus Car Allowance/Electric Car & Bonus

Are you a seasoned negotiator with a passion for optimising energy procurement strategies? We’re seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager with a proven track record in negotiating energy contracts and purchasing gas/power to undertake this newly created role with a long-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive procurement strategies for energy contracts, focusing on gas and power procurement.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and contractual agreements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ideally MCIPS qualified but not essential.
• Proven experience in procurement and contract negotiation within the energy industry, specifically in gas and power procurement.
• Able to work and understand Power Purchase Agreements
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
