Project Controls Engineer / Senior Planner

Our client is a top consulting firm in the Infrastructure sector.

They’re looking for a Project Controls Engineer / Planning Engineer with experience in construction within high tech facilities (data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, fulfilment centres)

Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, outlining key milestones, deadlines, and resource requirements.

Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and collaborate with the finance team to ensure projects stay within financial constraints.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks that may impact project timelines or budgets and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Performance Analysis: Regularly assess project performance against established metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring everyone is informed of project status and any potential issues. Reporting at a high level.

Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring proper documentation and communication.

Resource Allocation: Work closely with project managers to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring the right skills are in place to meet project demands.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of project control processes and tools to improve overall project management efficiency.

What You Need:

• A degree in a construction-related field.
• Ability to set up P6 Plans from scratch.
• Excellent at communicating, both in writing and verbally.
• You will need to be proficient in Primavera (P6)
• You should also have a decent grasp of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processes, along with a good knowledge of engineering and construction management.
• You must experience with NEC forms of contracts
• Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer or in a similar role within the construction sector.

Salary

• £55,000 – £65,000 DOE
