A regional civil engineering contractor is recruiting a Project Manager for their South east Division to help secure and deliver their larger projects. The business is a principal contractor who already work with local authorities and private sector clients on projects typically between £4m – £10 million but are looking to secure some higher value schemes. The diversity of projects includes road widening, bridge construction, public realm regeneration’s, flood alleviation schemes, sea defences and water treatment upgrades.

Ideally you will have experience of delivering projects as a number 1 on site either for a main contractor or a self-delivery business with a very good understanding of NEC contracts. It is essential Project Manager has a minimum of HNC/HND Civil Engineering, a technical background.

Project Manager duties include:

• Management of the commercial team with site change control and ensuring all cost, value and change control is captured in line with the contract.
• Management of subcontractors and site personnel
• Ensure the correct RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and H&S documentation are in place prior to work commencing
• Develop and manage the programme to ensure that critical deadlines and budgets are met
• Demonstrate value engineering throughout the delivery
• Manage documentation for quality assurance and Health and Safety files
• Chair monthly progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
• Act as representative for the business always
• Ensure timely and profitable delivery of projects in your remit
• Manage a team of Site Agents, Sub Agents, and Engineers
