We have an exciting new opportunity for a Junior/Mid-level Project Manager to Join Resource Solutions as a Workforce Consultant. As an Employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Resource Solutions and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients’ organisations, in return we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

Role Purpose

Lead the successful delivery of defined project work packages as delegated by the Project Manager and requiring deployment of project control and project management techniques.

Manage small / low complexity projects.

At this level, the role has responsibility for delivery of projects or work packages of limited complexity to budget, schedule, scope & risk management. The role may include some team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Assist the project manager across all aspects of project management for a project, including the deployment of project control and project management techniques.

1. Manage subcontracts, work packages and/or small projects, ensure delivery to budget, schedule, scope, risk management and quality of the contract.
2. Issue authorisations for work within the scope of own activity, i.e. release of budget such that work can be undertaken and the contract or project delivered.
3. Collate data for area of responsibility for contract service reviews and submit to project manager for inclusion into project Business Performance Reviews and Contract Reviews.

1. Ensure compliance with all project management tools and techniques, e.g. Life cycle management, risk registers, change control, etc.

1. Assist with decision making for projects on resourcing strategy, subcontract and supply chain activity.

1. Collate, assemble and make presentations at Business Performance Reviews and Contract Reviews.

1. Lead or oversee the work of a small project management team, ensure team is deployed efficiently, trained and developed to ensure responsibilities are discharged in a professional manner.

About this Role

At this level has personal responsibility for management and delivery of outcomes for small projects of low organisational or technical complexity, parts of larger projects or resource management and subcontracts management.

Typically requires degree or equivalent in a PM or business qualification and requires business experience. Project Management qualification preferred (e.g. APMP, PMP). Requires in-depth knowledge of process management processes and techniques. Manages Customer and Stakeholder groups through reviews and progress meetings. Requires good knowledge of planning & scheduling, risk & opportunity management, performance management, review and stakeholder management.

Requires knowledge of Agile and waterfall project management approaches.
