Social Housing Contracts Supervisor

Location: Basingstoke office, with site visits across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced Contracts Supervisor to oversee responsive repairs and void works within tenanted social housing properties.

You’ll supervise tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you’ll help deliver an excellent service to clients and residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works.
• Monitor health and safety, quality standards and compliance through site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Plan and coordinate works, materials and resources to minimise delays and work in progress.
• Monitor progress against targets and provide updates to operational, helpdesk, commercial and client teams.
• Oversee installations, snagging and final handovers.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and support the management and development of site teams.

About You

• Experience working in occupied social housing properties, ideally covering responsive repairs and voids.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures and relevant legislation.
• Strong organisational, communication and IT skills.
• A proactive approach, with experience supervising people; first-line management experience is desirable.
• A trade background and three-day HSE First Aid qualification are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility regarding working hours.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
