Residential Conveyancing Associate/ Senior Associate – Newcastle Position Type: Full-time/Permanent

Aberdein Considine are expanding their Newcastle Conveyancing Department and have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Residential Conveyancing Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor who can bring technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership capability to a high performing team.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing residential conveyancing transactions for the sale of properties on behalf of financial institution clients, from instruction through to completion, ensuring adherence to client service level agreements and internal procedures.

The role involves preparing title reports, contracts, auction legal packs, completion statements and TR2s, as well as liaising with asset managers, clients, third parties and customers to provide clear and timely updates throughout the sale process.

In addition, the Solicitor will play a key role in supporting and mentoring junior team members, contributing to the ongoing growth, development, and succession planning of the team.

Person Specification

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with minimum 5+ years’ PQE
• Regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
• Strong understanding of conveyancing processes
• Ability to manage a high volume caseload efficiently and effectively
• Experience of mentoring and supporting junior fee earners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Demonstrable commercial awareness and a client focused approach
• Proficiency in case management systems
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience working with financial institutions or lenders
• Knowledge of repossession conveyancing transactions
