We have an exciting opportunity for a people-focused individual to join us as a Scheme Manager where you ll manage a thriving scheme that s home to our older residents!

Location: Milton Court, Bearwood, Birmingham
Salary: £24,899 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, onsite at Milton Court in Bearwood, Birmingham. Milton Court is a Retirement Scheme for over 60 s made up of 49 properties; our residents lead active lifestyles and take a keen interest in the management of the scheme.

As Scheme Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme, with duties including, but not limited to:

• Ensuring a consistently excellent housing management service is provided, including ensuring that repairs, grounds maintenance and environmental contracts are delivered to a high standard.
• Ensuring the scheme is safe for residents by completing regular compliance checks including health & safety, building safety & fire safety, in line with regulatory requirements.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with our residents, interacting with them regularly to ensure their needs are understood and key messages are delivered.

Our ideal candidate? We re looking for a customer focussed individual who is passionate about delivering a brilliant service and can adapt their communication style to engage a variety of residents. Your application will also demonstrate:

• Previous experience of working in a customer facing role – experience of working with older people is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience of applying building safety practices such as health & safety, building safety & fire safety checks.
• The ability to manage your time and workload effectively and be able to easily adapt to changing demands.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers and internal and external stakeholders.
• Level 3 Housing Management qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
