Job Purpose:

Join our client as a Senior Construction Project Manager to spearhead major capital construction projects, ensuring alignment with their Estates Strategy and budget parameters. Your role involves stakeholder engagement, managing project design teams and contractors, and ensuring projects deliver on objectives while offering value for money. You’ll also contribute to the development of their Projects team, identifying training needs and fostering growth.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient project delivery processes and oversee program and budget monitoring.
• Provide leadership and support to Construction Project Managers and Building Surveyors.
• Lead significant capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and prepare Capital Business Cases, including risk management and procurement.
• Maintain financial oversight of projects, including identifying scope creep and value engineering options.
• Prepare regular progress reports for governance boards and manage project documentation and reporting.

Person Specification:

Knowledge:

• Chartered Membership of relevant professional organisation with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Deep understanding of industry-standard processes, systems, and assessment methods.
• In-depth knowledge of construction legislation, building regulations, and standard forms of construction contracts.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years in the construction industry with 5 years in a senior role.
• Proven experience managing teams of Project Managers on multiple major capital projects.
