NSB Recruitment have an interesting and purpose driven role for a Senior Environmental and Social (E&S) Risk Manager, where you’ll be a key player in managing and fulfilling key projects in E&S and HSE obligations. My client specializes in delivering turnkey infrastructure solutions in healthcare, digital, and government administration sectors across Africa and Southeast Asia.

Location – London 2/3 Days Per Week/Flexible Home Working

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across business groups to understand and define E&S needs at various project stages.
• Prepare tailored scopes of work and RFPs for E&S deliverables, meeting international lenders and IFC standards.
• Issue RFPs, select contractors, and manage E&S contracts and payments.
• Oversee contractors in preparing E&S deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Project objectives.
• Liaise with local HSE/E&S managers at construction sites, supporting stakeholder engagement and complaints management.
• Interface with national and regional regulators and international lenders throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideally You Will Have the Following

• Fluent in both English and French (verbal and written).
• 5-10 years of consultancy experience in E&S sustainability projects.
• Strong understanding of ESIA processes, ideally for healthcare and infrastructure projects.
• Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with E&S regulatory systems in West Africa and Indonesia is a plus.
• Knowledge of Equator Principles 4, World Bank s EHS Guidelines, IFC s Performance Standards, and OECD Common Approaches.
• Willingness to travel internationally for key project milestones.
• Experience working in cross-cultural teams and environments.
• Strong initiative, autonomy, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• No visa sponsorship requirements
• Native or bilingual in French
