This company is currently leading the way in the delivery and operations of renewable technologies.Your new roleYou will lead, initiate and implement project procurement strategies and governance frameworks for the solar projects. You will lead a team of procurement/contract management professionals. You will assess procurement risks (political, environment, technical, economic and legal) and develop appropriate procurement strategies. You will lead the Solar procurement team in the procurement of goods and services for new Solar projects and associated activities to agreed project and commercial objectives in line with approved procedures and EU procurement regulations, including but not limited to, leading evaluation of bids and coordinating inputs from the wider evaluation team (technical, legal, HSE), negotiation of commercial terms with preferred suppliers, ensuring timely contract awards and management of the contracts through delivery/constructionWhat you’ll need to succeedYou will require comprehensive knowledge of the principles of procurement and contract management with a proven track record. You will have extensive EPC procurement and contract management experience – managing procurement for major construction projects and/or other energy projects. You will have experience in commercial administration of development and construction contracts and cost management. A qualification in a relevant engineering, business or legal discipline would be advantageous.
