I am working with an organisation who are looking to offer a supportive and progressive role in the form of a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager. They are an established Property and Asset Maintenance Company with branches nationwide, you will be based out of the Bristol office. Good commercial acumen will be required as you will be re-developing new and existing contract client books as well as overseeing and developing members of the commercial team. There is a flexible package on offer which is dependent on the experience and expertise of the Candidate.

The salary for this role is 50k – 60k.

Skills needed in the Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines
• experience of refurbishment /Framework projects in a number of sectors
• Conversant with JCT and NEC suite of building contracts
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of personnel
• Good analytical, financial and numeracy skills
• Broad understanding of the construction industry

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Effectively assist with commercial aspects in line with Business requirements and Budget parameters
• Ensure commercial strategy is developed and delivered in line with Company requirements
• Apply knowledge of Construction Contracts to oversee the financial management of projects
• Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information; costs, profitability and values meet the designated project/contract requirements
• Monitor contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale
• Oversee procurement of all projects to ensure that resources are in place in a cost effective and timely manner
