Senior Quantity Surveyor – Progression to Commercial Manager in 12-18 Months

Our client is a leading MEP contractor entering an exciting period of growth. They’re looking for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take their career to the next level – with a structured plan to progress into a Commercial Manager role within 12-18 months.

You’ll take a key commercial lead on prestigious MEP packages across a range of flagship projects. Backed by a highly experienced leadership team and a strong order book, this is a fantastic opportunity to build on your commercial expertise and shape the commercial future of the business.

Key Duties

• Manage all commercial aspects of MEP projects from tender to final account.
• Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Implement cost control processes, financial reporting, and risk management strategies.
• Liaise closely with project teams to ensure commercial delivery is on track and margins protected.
• Support the Commercial Manager with mentoring junior team members and driving commercial best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience within construction or MEP contracting.
• Exposure to working under JCT and/or NEC contracts.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ambition to progress into a senior commercial leadership role.
