Our wide-ranging expertise enables us to provide comprehensive services encompassing design, procurement, installation, commissioning and operations for an array of projects. We cater to diverse sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, council and defence.

Our engineering services team are looking for a Senior Electrical Technical Manager to be based out of our head office in Moorgate, with travel to projects within our building services portfolio.

The purpose of this role will be to effectively and professionally lead day to day compliance and safety in relation to electrical services installation and maintenance.

The role will be the subject matter expert within the electrical discipline, it will hold responsibility as the duty holder for the electrical Safe Systems of Work on the company’s management platform OWOW. The role will also be the appointed principal duty holder under the company’s NICEIC registration.

You’ll:

• Provide technical and engineering support in the management of central procedures for electrical systems.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the electrical procedures to ensure our contracts safety performance and regulatory compliance is to the highest standard through weekly site visits and periodic auditing activities in conjunction with external Authorising Engineers.
• Act as the lead point of contact and framework manager for the companies Authorising Engineer and specialist consultants.
• Review electrical design information to ensure electrical safety standards are maintained and potential risks are mitigated.
• Assess the experience, training and competence of key staff and subcontractors, providing guidance to the projects regarding appointment.
• Manage effective training delivery and Facilitate workshops (where appropriate) to ensure Authorised Persons and other key staff have the necessary level of competence.
• Be required to attend Skanska contracts in person (3 days a week) to build relationships and offer support

• Development and implementation of a management plan to reduce electrical incidents in conjunction with H&S team
• Effective management of Authorising Engineer provision including updated Sodexo Framework for 2024.
• Design reviews
• Training provision to AP and CP roles
• NICEIC Duty Holder
• Management and support to NICEIC QS positions
• Expert understanding and experience in implementing the Electricity at Work Regulations
• Expert understanding and experience in BS th Edition
• Expert understanding and experience working with electrical safe systems of work
• Suitably Qualified to hold the NICEIC PDH position
• Experience in providing electrical SSoW training
• Experience in auditing electrical safety in FM and/or MEP
• Comfortable with handling data in excel and powerBI
• Experience working with SharePoint applications including automation and dashboarding.
