GPW have multiple vacancies for Substation Project Managers for a Tier 1 contractor who builds and commissions substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Their teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

You will be working nationwide on Electrical Transmission frameworks, with upcoming projects in South Wales and the South West.

You ll oversee a portfolio of M&E projects, guiding them from start to finish while ensuring top standards in health, safety, and environmental management. Collaborate with an expert team, manage risks, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Use your industry knowledge to contribute to new bids and drive team success. What you ll bring

• National Grid Substation build experience – including workable knowledge of NG SRs, Rules, EPC / M&E Framework
• Proven leadership on Design and Build projects, managing cross functional teams
• Excellent stakeholder management skills engaging with clients and suppliers
• Qualification in construction / engineering and / or relevant experience
• Qualification in Project Management (APM, PMP etc.)
• Strong commercial experience with NEC contracts
• Demonstrated ability to manage risk and opportunity
• Strong regulatory knowledge including HSWA, CDM, EAWR etc.
• Experience managing budgets with history of delivery to time and cost
