Survey Manager (Land, Topographical, Measured Building)

We are one of the leading Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Land Surveying companies in the UK with a reputation of providing a quality service to our clients. We are looking for an experienced Survey Manager (Land, Topographical, Measured Building) to lead and grow our survey team.

The Survey Manager (Land, Topographical, Measured Building) will be responsible for:

• Effectively leading the Survey Team
• Providing leadership and guidance to the Survey Team
• Identifying development opportunities for the Survey Team to ensure effective working across all required surveying activities (land, topographical and measured building)
• Effective project management of contracts, including team allocation
• Securing contracts with clients
• Proactively sourcing new business
• Planning, resourcing and managing complex surveys without supervision
• Undertaking appropriate quality checks of the team s deliverables to ensure complete client satisfaction.
• Establishing control networks
• Setup/operating surveying hardware (Leica TS16 total stations, P40, RTC and BLK laser scanners);
• Exporting and processing of survey data using both N4ce and Leica Cyclone (Core + Reg360)
• Producing finished drawings using AutoCAD, Rhino 3D and Revit; and following required QA procedures and proofing.
• Develop and implement risk assessments and safe systems of work, to ensure the survey team s health, safety and welfare while working outdoor in all weather conditions.

The Survey Manager (Land, Topographical, Measured Building) will need to have/be:

• Strong Project Management experience, including maintaining project time logs and monitoring milestone completion
• Significant experience of conducting Land, Topographical, and Measured Building Surveys
• Proficient in the use of and maintenace of Leica Survey equipment and survey processing software (Leica Cyclone, N4ce, Rhino 3D)
• Experience of supporting financial systems including team timesheets and project invoicing
• A formal qualification in Geospatial/Surveying/Mapping with substantial post qualification experience of technical, people and survey programme delivery.
